Cura – Custom Print Profiles

It is recommended that for the first few weeks of printing you stick with the provided settings.

Once familiar with print settings in Cura and how they work, you can experiment by changing things like infill, layer height, wall thickness, etc. If you are unsure about some of the settings in Cura, roll your mouse over the setting’s dialogue box and a description of the setting will appear.

After some trial and error, you will most likely find that a few tweaks here and there may be needed to get certain results (i.e. making a part stronger or more detailed). When you are happy with a custom profile you created, go to File<Save Profile. Make a folder on your computer dedicated to print settings, and label them accordingly (i.e. ABS large detailed.ini).
