We actually found ourselves using this simple and effective software more than the Repetier/Slic3r combo.
The balance between speed and quality is a tricky one, but the Airwolf AW3D HD printer bridges the gap. Both quick on its feet and high-performing, the AW3D HD beats out many other 3D printers for producing the best of both worlds.

Rods, Pulley Alignment & Belt Tensioning
These should be done periodically to ensure a working printer.
Lubricating Rods- Use Lithium Grease on all the rods in red. This includes the two smooth rods running through the hot end, the two smooth vertical rods, and the threaded Z-rod.
Pulley Alignment- Each pulley has two set screws that use a 2mm allen head screwdriver. Loosen both pulleys on the same belt. Move the head back and forth with your hand to align the pulleys.
Belt Tensioning- It’s a good practice to check the tension in your belts from time to time. There are four belts in the XY plane; two in the X-direction, two in the Y-direction.
Be careful not to over tension the belts. The rods could bend or the belts could be overstretched. Flick each belt. You should hear a low, deep, cello-type frequency. If it is loose, here are the steps to tightening the belt. First, loosen one of the pulleys of that belt with a 2mm allen head screw driver. There are two set screws per pulley. Loosen each of them until the pulley can slide axially along the shaft. Next, grab the extruder head with your hand and move the head along the direction of the belt so that your pulleys are now spinning and aligning themselves. Then tighten up the pulley with both set screws. Lastly, there is one “belt-tensioning” screw per belt. In the diagrams, they are the triangles. If you turn the screw clockwise, it tightens the belt. If you turn the screw counter clockwise, it loosens the belt.
