NEW ASA 3D Printer Filament

ASA Filament for 3D Printing

Airwolf 3D is excited to release its newest product: ASA filament for 3D printing.

ASA 3D printer filament is often compared to ABS because its chemical properties are very similar. Both materials are incredibly strong, long-lasting, and can be finished with an ultra glossy shine using an acetone vapor treatment.

What is ASA 3D printer filament?

What distinguishes ASA most from other types of filament is that it is superb for outdoor use. ASA 3D printer filament has high UV resistance and high weather resistance, making it an excellent material that withstands the elements.

Slightly denser than ABS, ASA is sturdy, durable and features a matte finish that is less likely to discolor over time.

How to print with ASA filament

Like ABS, ASA is a high-temperature material that requires a high performance desktop 3D printer, preferably with an enclosed build chamber to help prevent parts from cracking when printing.

To print with ASA, your extruder must be able to reach 260°C and your bed temperature must be 115°C.

To fully guard against warpage and make sure your part sticks to the bed while printing, be sure to prep your print bed with Wolfbite Bed Adhesion Solution for ABS.
