Use Wolfbite 3D Printer Adhesive for Perfect Parts

Introducing Wolfbite 3D Printer Adhesive

3D Printer AdhesiveThis is the first 3D printer adhesion solution developed specifically for the need of the 3D printing industry. It allows you to do something that was previously thought impossible. With Wolfbite, you can stick parts to the heat bed when it’s hot and release the adhesion completely as the parts cool down. When complete, one motion of the hand can remove the part from the glass. This is a proprietary combination of different polymers and additives which provide bonding strength and thermal bonding characteristics to specific materials.

Wolbite MEGA

3D Printer Adhesive

Airwolf 3D just developed something that is a holy grail for engineers who are printing strong parts. One of the limiting factors for the professional consumer using 3D printers is the problem with bed adhesion. Materials like Polycarbonate filament, which has extremely desired mechanical characteristics, was limited only for printing very small parts because of warping, cracking and delamination. Airwolf 3D has developed a new bed adhesion solution called ‘WOLFBITE MEGA’, which like its Wolfbite counterparts, it can be applied directly to the glass on the heat bed. It perfectly bonds to Polycarbonate, and PC ABS parts, and after the part is complete and cool it removes easily. One coat of Wolfbite Mega is good for up to 10 prints, without having to re-apply.

Clean glass plate and applicator with clean water only. Soap and other cleansers will contaminate Wolfbite solution and cause unstable performance.

Why it’s not good to use standard bed adhesives for 3D Printing

Before Wolfbite bed adhesion solutions were released, standard adhesives like Elmer Glue, purple glue stick, ABS Cement, etc were used. The problem with all of these solutions is the continuous adhesion of the printing, warping of the parts and peeling because there’s not enough bond strength to the bed. If you apply too much of the standard adhesive you might not be able to release the part. With PLA (before Wolfbite NANO) many users were using painter’s tape which made part removal extremely difficult. Running your part under water was an option, but this could also ruin some prints due to the parts absorbing and retaining water. Tape also created clogging problems due to tiny cellulose particles building up on the tip of the nozzle. By using Wolfbite you can completely eliminate standard adhesives and print directly on the glass plate. With Wolfbite adhesion solutions, warpage, cracking, and peeling is a thing of the past.
