3d Printer Classes in Orange County CA

Airwolf 3d is now offering the 4th installment of its 3D printer classes in Orange County CA. The workshop will be conducted between July 11th and 12th for students interested in developing their 3D printing knowledge and skill. Based on feedback from previous 3D Printing Workshops Airwolf 3D developed a more flexible syllabus to cater to users of varying 3D printing experience. Users without previous 3D printing experience will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently 3D print on their own, while more experienced users will be tutored in the use of advanced techniques and materials.

fusion360_cad_software_workshopStudents will receive an introduction to 3D printing followed by a guided tour through TinkerCad, an easy-to-learn, 3D design and modeling tool, to become accustomed to the process of designing their own models. Once students have mastered the basics of CAD design they will learn how to ensure that their designs are “watertight” and to export the designs in .STL format. Students will also receive an introduction to Fusion 360, a popular cloud-based 3D modeling software from the makers of Autodesk that combines industrial and mechanical design, collaboration, and machining into a single package. Students will also learn how to “slice” their files using several popular slicing platforms including Astroprint.com and Cura, for example. Airwolf 3D will introduce various 3D printing materials to students and discuss the potential applications and printing characteristics of each material. Finally, students will receive more advanced training in 3D printer operation and techniques which will enable them to produce objects that have more complex geometries and cleaner print characteristics than ever before.

Airwolf 3D will provide each student with access to his/her own model HD printer throughout the duration of their 3D printer classes in Orange County CA. Each printer is capable of printing large, high resolution objects in a wide range of materials.  Lunch will be provided to students throughout the 3D Printing Workshop so bring your appetites, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. There are only 15 seats for this two-day seminar so act quickly if you would like to reserve your seat, today!
