Most 3D Printers Operating Simultaneously
Remember back in December of 2014 how Airwolf 3D told the world that we intended to break the world record for most 3D printers operating simultaneously?…Well, we did it!!
Airwolf 3D is now the official Guinness World Records™ holder for, “the most 3D printers operating simultaneously!” To be considered for the award all participants had to be confined to a single geographic location; however, that did not stop scores of volunteers from remotely donating their time and resources to a sister “Flash Print” project for Robohand USA™.  In all, the Airwolf 3D “Wolf Pack” put 159 individual 3D printers to work creating components for more than 200 Robohand™Â prosthetic devices that were donated to the Water is Life project on behalf of Robohand™.
World Record 3D Printing is Not for the Faint of Heart!
The  record breaking event did not go down without a hitch though. The day before the Print-a-thon Airwolf 3D learned that LeTourneau University had broken their previous world record with an astounding 158 printers! But the Wolf Pack was not intimidated. Volunteers from every corner came forward to donate their machines, time, and materials to break the record, including Cerritos College, 3D Printers in OC Meetup members, Andesign, and  Matterhackers–an Official Airwolf 3D dealer–who brought 7 machines in the clutch. There is some serious world record 3d printing going on here – Now that’s what we call teamwork!
When we say that, “We did it” what we really mean is that we, as an Airwolf 3D community, did it–together. In the spirit of the holidays our wolf pack came together and made a meaningful difference in the lives of others…and we broke a world record in the process! To those who participated in the event, we at Airwolf 3D would like to offer our most heart-felt expression of gratitude. You tirelessly endured the tension and the frenetic pace of the 2014 Airwolf 3D Print-a-thon without complaint and we truly appreciate it. We could not have done it without you!
If you missed the event, here is a video documenting our record breaking achievement:
