Now is your chance to be a part of something BIG! Airwolf 3D has teamed up with Robohand to create a unique way to help out those in need this holiday season. Make history as part of the world’s largest 3D printer farm and use your 3D printing skills to change lives at the Airwolf 3D Print-a-thon and first ever international Flash Print!
What is Robohand?
Robohand US is an Atlanta based organization that produces affordable prosthetics for people in need. Originally created by Richard Van As and Ivan Owen, the charity has outfitted hundreds of people with 3D printed prosthetic hands, fingers, and limbs. We want to help raise that number. How you can help:
California locals: Bring your 3D printer by our Costa Mesa headquarters at noon on Saturday, December 13 and 3D print a Robohand with us! All of our 100 in-house printers will be cranking out Robohands, and we want you to join in! Be a part of a record-breaking 3D printer farm and help out a good cause! We will have music, guest speakers, and refreshments.
Makers nationwide: Can’t make it to our headquarters? Be a part of our first ever flash print! Simply download the attached gcode and print your Robohand on Dec 13 from the comfort of your own home! Tweet or post photos of your completed Robohand to be featured on our wall! We will have the gcode available here, so check back soon.
Don’t have a 3D printer? No problem! Give $25 for a roll of filament, and we will print up to 5 Robohands for you! Your name will be attached to the Robohands we send on your behalf. Buy HERE: $25 Lend a Hand
Lend a helping hand with Airwolf 3D and Robohand US this holiday season. Your effort will open a new world of joy and hope to a person in need.
