What can you do with a 3D printer? One thing is to mass produce custom, precise parts in large quantities with several 3D Printers. We operate, on average, 3-4 machines on each laptop at the same time. The photo below shows 30 gears printed at once (a 10 hour print job). The Airwolf 3D printer did not miss a single step. These high precision gears were printed with a .5mm nozzle at a .25mm layer height. No need to go any smaller on either nozzle diameter or layer height to achieve this level of detail. One of the keys to success is to have a very accurate printer that can withstand prolonged periods of printing without overheating, the other is knowing what you are doing with Slic3r.
